An inland Izmir district known for the Bozdağ plateau and mountainous terrain. Its elevation gives it a cooler climate than the coast.

About tent camping

Tent camping is the most flexible, lowest-cost type of camping — you can start with nothing more than a small backpack. Terrain choice, ground flatness, and wind direction are the most critical factors.

What to keep in mind

Choose a spot with no ground slope or risk of water pooling
Pitch parallel to the wind direction, not facing into it
Follow the fire-safety rules set by Turkey's Forestry authority (OGM)
