Tent camping is the most flexible, lowest-cost type of camping — you can start with nothing more than a small backpack. Terrain choice, ground flatness, and wind direction are the most critical factors.
What to keep in mind
- Choose a spot with no ground slope or risk of water pooling
- Pitch parallel to the wind direction, not facing into it
- Follow the fire-safety rules set by Turkey's Forestry authority (OGM)
